Did you feel overdressed? Uma Thurman goes from heels to flats after Whoopi Goldberg turns up to a red carpet in Crocs

It's a classic trick of high heel loving women everywhere - wear the stilettos to the party but bring a pair of flats just in case.
On Thursday Uma Thurman put her emergency shoes to good use swapping her high heels for the more comfortable pair midway through a red carpet.

The 42-year-old clearly had a change of shoe heart when she spotted Whoopi Goldberg coming down the carpet in colourful rubber Crocs.
Normally the shoe reserved for gardening or quick runs down to the shops, the eccentric footwear wearing talk show host went for comfort - making her fellow celebrity, well, uncomfortable.
The Pulp Fiction star started out in delicate strappy kitten heels which matched her black and simple three-quarter sleeve collared dress.

But then Uma changed her mind, swapping to flat sandals with a large fabric flowers on front.
Normally, such shoes would have looked a bit absurd however, The View host stole the bad shoe limelight with her red and, what appeared to be, yellow cat Crocs.
The pair were on the red carpet for the Annual Gala To Benefit Room To Grow at Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

The foundation raises to help enrich the lives of babies born into poverty.
Both women are mothers - Uma has three children, including a new baby, and Whoopi has a daughter - so the charity is close to their hearts.
Uma gave birth to her daughter in July and inexplicable gave it five first names.

While the baby is called Luna for short, the little girl's full name is Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busso.
Uma explained on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon that the mouthful of a name was her 14-year-old daughter Maya's idea.
'[Maya] came up with the best excuse, [which] was that I probably wouldn’t get to have any more children, so I just put every name that I liked into [Luna's],' she said.
'The last part makes sense right?'

Third times the charm: The actress recently had her third child whom she gave not one, but five first names

The model turned actress and her financier partner Arpad Busso could not decide on a name either.
'We couldn't quite agree on the name. We call her Luna so she's lucky that way.'
Uma's two other children Maya and a 10-year-old son, Levon, are from her previous marriage to actor Ethan Hawke.
And, her 49-year-old partner, Arpad, also has two sons from his relationship with model Elle Macpherson - Arpad Flynn Alexander, 14, and Aurelius Cy Andrea, nine.
